Meridia.
Meridia (sibutramine) can be prescribed for patients suffering from obesity that need additional help with losing their excessive weight. This drug can cause an addiction and is not supposed to be taken for longer than 2 years in a row. Make sure you follow all the recommendations of your health care provider very carefully and avoid taking more of Meridia than necessary. Taking more of it is not going to make your treatment more efficient and can cause symptoms that you will need to report to your health care provider right away. Sometimes mild side effects can be experienced, such as heartburn, change in appetite, dry mouth, flushing, headache, back pain, weakness, nervousness, constipation, runny nose, and flu-like symptoms. More serious side effects are unlikely but still possible and can include some or any of the following: joint pain, anxiety, blurred vision, blood in your urine, severe headache, sweating, headache, vomiting, fast or pounding heartbeat, stiff muscles, easy bruising or bleeding, and confusion. Mild side effects are most likely to go away on their own while the serious side effects mentioned will need to be reported to your doctor as soon as possible.
